Dear family and friends,
Well this week was a normal week until Saturday! But I'll
tell you about it a little bit more later in the email. So this last week
started off on a good step with finding new people to teach and also contacting
people to present our message and share the blessing that we receive from this
message. It was great to see that a lot during this week I was being led to
share with the people what the spirit wanted me to say. I felt that even during
my contacts I was more intune with the spirit this week. Also, on Wednesday we
went to Guastatoya to attend the district meeting and it's about an hour in
bus... everyone in our zone lives far from us. Guastatoya is an hour away, then
Gualan is 1 hour and 15 min away from us but the other direction than
Guastatoya and Estanzuela is 30 min away from us. So every time we do divisions
it takes away time from working and we are sitting in the bus. But the good
thing is that I can catch up on sleep that I miss;) haha!
So then we had divisions on Friday with Gualan and I went
with Elder Cabrera and in these last 6 weeks he has had a lot of progress and
is learning more during his training as a missionary.
So then on Friday night I did an interview for a kid of 8
years old for the elders of Gualan and sadly, he will be waiting 4 more weeks
until he is baptized.
So on Saturday we received a huge blessing! we had an
activity which was for kids, dia del niño, and we had a piñata, cake, tostadas
(they're different here), juice and games, but we had 4 investigators there!
and after the activity we were talking to one of our investigators who we have
invited to be baptized on the 21st of November and she said yes if she receives
her answer before. Her name is Kimberly and she is 15 years old and she
asked,"So my baptism is on the 29th, right?" and we said, "Well,
we were talking about the 21st of November if that is okay with you" and
she responded, "Yes, I will be baptized that day. I have received my
answer"
We were so happy that she said that and that she can be an
example for her sisters and her cousins! Also, Kimberly told us that she
received a vision about the Book of Mormon and she knows that it is true! It's
great to see the blessings and miracles that can happen in the lives of our
investigators!
So finally I just want to end with one scripture, which is
Jacob 6:12
O be wise; what can I say more?
Love Elder Flygare
