August 24th

Hey family and friends,

Well the bad news isn't super bad news, its only bad for us missionaries. Well this week we were super excited to go into the capital to hear from Elder Russell M. Nelson but we got news last night that he isn't going to come here to Guatemala. He is only going to give a talk to all of Central America... so unfortunately, we aren't going to hear from him in person, but we are still going to hear from him over satellite.

Well, the good things that happened this week is that I had divisiones with Elder Muñoz. He is from Ecuador and in his culture they grow out their hair and never cut it. I will send pictures to you guys next week because this computer won't let me. So anyways, supposedly his hair is short for the other people that are part of his culture that are the same age, but the coolest thing is that his dad is stake president, and his dad also has super long hair and they got permision from the first presidency to grow their hair out like that and still serve a mission.

So also I did a division with Elder Cabrera, who is a new missionary and kinda looks like Oscar from Shark Tale, but he is a good missionary. He wants to work super hard, but just needs to work on how to work. But divisions with him are always super funny because he says really funny things and doesn't have any limits on the questions he asks. haha!

Well, also this week I was reading in 3rd Nephi again because I finished the BOM again! Woooohoooo! But in 3rd Nephi I read in chapter 12 right after Jesus Christ visits the Americas in chapter 11, and in the first 12 verses are my favorites of the chapter because it's talking about the Be-attitudes. How we need to "be meek, be long suffering, be hungry to do the right" and a lot of other things, but I really liked the promised blessings that come after it. It helps us have a purpose to do those things.}

I want to invite each and every one of you to read this chapter and to try to focus on one verse or one attribute that you want to work on. I promise that you guys will see the help of the lord if you guys ask and have a sincere desire to develope the attribute.
