Hola familia y amigos!

Well a new change has started and I have a new companion! So this change I am still in the area Zion, and I only have 3 changes left until I will be home!
So my new companion is Elder Uribe! He is from Chile and he lives in Puerto Montt, that is in the south part of Chile. PS. so a little more than a year ago i was training a new missionary that was called Elder Alvarado, Elder Alvarado lives 30 min away from Elder Uribe and they are in the same stake!
also Elder Uribe is 23 years old, he likes to breakdance, he has 14 months in the mission and his 2nd companion was Elder Dawson! My best friend, my companion in the MTC and he's from the same stake as me!
So also I'm going to tell you guys that Elder Uribe is super spiritual, he has so much patience and he loves to help the people here.
Me and Elder Uribe are going to have at least 2 baptisms this month! We are trying hard to baptize Jorge and also to baptize Cindy. They both have attended church three times and are reading the Book of Mormon! Also Cindy is going to seminary and she loves it!

So this week, was kind of a crazy week.
First, saying goodbye to Elder Cano and Elder Espinoza was really hard. They were both two companions that I really got along with and we had some great moments with them.
Second, recieving a new companion, Elder Uribe, and showing him the area and teaching him how to be Zone Leader.
Third, that the zone this week ended the month with 8 baptisms! Our goal as a zone was 9 but we only had 8 and our zone only has 12 missionaries.
Fourth, we had divisions with the assistants and I took a picture with the 12 Apostles!;)
and that was our week!

Have a great week! and work hard!

How are you guys doing!?

Well another change has ended and another change begins... the time is coming closer and closer to coming home and the more I think about it, the more the excitement leaves me. But that's enough of that. Well this week has come to an end and the change. I think these changes will be the hardest for me because my companion will now be going to his house and also my last companion Elder Espinoza will also be going home. So that means that out of all my companions that I have had in the mision, only 1 will still be in the mission and that is the person I trained.  It's weird as more elders enter the mission because that means that there is less people that I know and now all the misionaries that I know will be going home to their houses.

So this week was filled with blessings, as we worked and also as my companion was saying goodbye to the area and people.
But we put a new baptismal date this week for the 7th of May and she is a great investigator, she's fifteen years old and she lives with her cousin and her cousin brings her to church and also to institute, and she has so many questions about the church. She is always super happy and she is super quiet, but she loves going to church and also to learn about our message.

Also we had 5 investigators in the church yesterday and 4 of them should get baptized within the next two months. One of the investigators that came to church is one of the most "pilas" (that practically the spanish slang in guatemala for dope) investigators that I have had and he is always reading the Book of Mormon and always has questions and is trying to prepare himself to be baptised this Saturday, which also is his birthday! It would be so cool to see him to take the step to be "born again" on his birthday! His name is Jorge and he is like 58 years old and lives alone.

Hey family and friends,

First, I would like to ask you all to pray for my two grandpas that are right now in the hospital. They are having some problems and please keep them in your prayers so that they can recuperate.
So this week has been a little hard, first because we haven't found so many people to hear our message and the 2nd reason is because our baptismal dates would like to have more time even though they are progressing quite well and don't need more time.
Well this week I am writing on Tuesday because I went to the temple today! This has been only my second time in the temple in the mission since I have been outside of the MTC.
It's kind of sad but I can't even express how much I love and missed the temple. The temple is really the Lord's house. I know that without a doubt and I testify that we can recieve all of the blessings of the Lord only by being worthy to enter and doing the ordinances which are done on the inside.
Also, this week we have seen great blessings in our area as we have been putting the trust in the Lord and not relying on our own strengths.

Thanks for all the support! Have a good week!

April 4, 2016

Hey family and friends,

Well this week was hard as in terms of working but the great thing is that we had general conference and we were spiritually filled and even at some points I felt like it was overflowing and I couldn't capture all of the things I wanted to.

This week something sad happened in our zone as we were playing soccer last Monday. So the story is that one missionary fell and landed on his sholder (I forgot how it is spelled) but it hurt a lot so he went and got it checked out at the hospital and the doctors said that he didn't break any bones but he tore a ligament or tendon in his sholder. This elder is named Elder Nelson and I want to do a shoutout to him! because he's a stud! I hope you get feeling better Elder Nelson and have a safe ride home in the airplane today! We all love you and hope that you can recover fast to come back out on the mission!

Other news is that we got to see general conference this last weekend and it was amazing! I can't believe that it was my last general conference before I will be home! It's really scary to think about that but there's nothing that I can do about it!

But the things that I like in the general conference was the statements from:
Elder D Todd Christofferson when he said, "The key for men is to be fathers, the key for children is to have fathers, and the key for society is to create fathers."
Elder Gerrit W. Gong, "To be worthy does not mean to be perfect"
and especially how Dieter F. Uchtdorf talked about the scars on the lutheran church building that is in Germany, and that he told us that we can have scars, and that we can have those scars to remember what we have been through and to remind us what we can overcome.

Thanks for everything! I love you guys so much!
