Dear family and friends!

I feel that each week has been going by faster and faster....

I can't believe that I have been with my companion now for 5 weeks! That seems like forever ago that I came to this area.

Well the best news from this last week is that we are going to have a baptism this week! His name is Manuel. He is about 30 years old and he has attended church now like 7 or 8 times. He is an awesome person and we have really seen a change in him! He is excited to go to church and to read the Book of Mormon but the only fear that we have is that he feels ready but he doesn't want to fall away after his baptism but we will be with him in every step to help him stay here. I have faith that he will be baptized but we will see after his interview! It will be Wednesday and hopefully he will be ready! I know he will be! So this week other than that has been a little bit tough with our visits, they have fallen but we also have been finding people that are really wanting to learn more!

The scripture that really impacted me this week was in Mosiah 3:19. After it talks that we need to leave the natural man behind us, it tells us how we can become saints and how we can become like Christ.

...becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child,submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict uponhim, even as a child doth submit to his father.

We need to be a saint and repent and become better. We need to become like children.

Familia y amigos!

Hey! So one of the experiences that I have had was this week, I was on divisions and we went to a house of a family less actives and they have a daughter that isn't baptised. So our plans were to talk to them about the restoration to kindle the fire that was once in their hearts about the church. But when we got there, I felt propmted to talk about the faith and repentance. We started asking them questions about there family because their son was in the hospital for a few days because of his asthma. So they told us about their experience in the hospital and they saw two miracles in their life. 1) When the hospital was closed for emergencies they opened the doors for him. 2) The daughter that is 9 years old prayed every night for her brother and he re-cooperated from what was happening. So when we started the lesson, we could feel like they were all ears open. We shared a scripture in the Book of Mormon from Alma 32:21 and also Ether 12:6 and 12. We explained that the faith needs to be shown to our father in heaven through our actions and if we don't do anything we can't receive those miracles that are waiting for us.

We then shared there isn't any sin that can't be forgiven. It doesn't matter how low we feel that we are in life, that we can always rise up and become NEW. Isaiah 43:25. He will never remember our sins. Even before God during judgement day, he will never leave us, and he will be our lawyer.  As we followed the spirit we knew what scriptures we should share and how we could touch their hearts and they were almost in tears during this lesson! But not because of us, but because of the spirit.

But I would also like to tell you guys that we are going to have a baptism this week and we hope to have another baptism on the 27th of Febuary! I hope that everything can go well and that we can help them have all their answers to their prayers and questions!

Hey family and friends!

Well this week was awesome!

We found a ton of new investigators and we have found people that are going to progress and be baptised!

This area is so different from my other areas! My other areas haven't been so strong as a ward but this ward is super strong and its great to the member want to work and to help the missionaries! Our area has baptized around 28 people in the last year. so we are hoping to have a lot of success in this month of February and in march! We have three baptismal dates and we hope to have more by the end of this week. We have three people that are ready to be baptized in this month of February and we hope that everything can go well and that nothing will happen with them. We have felt the spirit so strong in our lessons and we hope to continue finding people to teach and to come unto christ.

This week we are going to have a reunion with president and I will have to wake up at 4:30 to get ready for the meeting and to set everything up at our building! yay for me! haha

Dear family and friends,

This week has been a great week! Well first I heard about my changes last week and I heard that I was going to be companions with Elder Cano, which many people have told me that I would hate him because he talks a lot and is really self-centered. To be honest I haven't had any problems with him yet, I think he has been a great companion in these last few days and that we are going to have a lot of success!

I am in an area called Zion. This area has had a lot of baptisms in this last year. About 30 in this last year but a lot are inactive so we are going to work with a lot of these recent converts to get them to the temple and to also try to baptize their family members. So this week we put a fecha with an 11 year old for the 6 of February and he is excited to be baptized. We had 2 investigators that were in sacrament meeting and the ward I am in is super strong, there is about 150 members and they, the bishop and his counselors want to work! I have been trying to visit all of the members this week but it has been super hard because there are so many.

So my companion is Elder Cano, he is from Honduras, he is 24 years old and has 21 months in the mission. He only has 2 more changes and then he will be going home, so I feel like I will be his last companion! Well that's it for this week! Adios!

Almost Died!!!

Hey family and friends,

This week has been a really weird, scary, confusing week.

Well to describe why I have felt this way, it has been through the work here in Teculutan and the action others have made here. First, it's been really weird because this week is change week! WOOHOO! Change week is always a good week because you know that you can have a new area, new companion, and new opportunities. So when we got the call last night from the assistants, we found out about the changes in our zone. First I will be getting changes, and second my companion also...it is extremly rare that two zone leaders get taken out at the same time, but it happened. The mission president told us that it wasn't for something we did but the Lord told him that he needs us in other parts of his work and area. But I am super happy and excited, even though I love this area. I have been here now for 6 months and I will be going to Zona 6 and I will be going to a ward thats called Zion. I will be going there with Elder Cano and he is a zone leader also and will be finishing his mission in 2 changes. I hope to have a lot of success in this area.

Also this week, we were going to do a baptismal interview and we were going around a corner and the bus driver, wasn't thinking and started to pass a semi and half way into the pass, a car came and we slammed on the brakes, we almost hit head on, going about 60 miles an hour. I almost died but it was weird because no one yelled. Everyone in the bus acted like that has happened before and they didn't have fear for anything!

Hola family and friends,

This week has gone by fast! It feels like I didn't even have that much time to work in my area!
Well this week we went to the capital to have our meeting with President Crapo, and with Hermana Crapo.
I love hearing from them and the messages that they have to share with us! I am grateful that President Crapo is my mission president. I am grateful for the plan that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father have for me and my family. I KNOW that Jesus Christ lives. I know that Heavenly Father loves us because we are his sons and daughters. I know that he cries when we cry, I know that he is sad when we are sad, and he rejoices when we rejoice.

Well this week has been a little hard to have a lot of lessons but I know that the lessons that we had were filled with the spirit. Well the people we have been preparing to be baptized, don't feel ready and they aren't married. So we will work with them to get married and baptized. Also, we have changes next week, and I think I will be staying in my area for another change. I will be here for at least 5 changes! That's crazy. I will be here in Teculutan for 7 months! Well that's if I stay, but other than that, it's been good here in Teculutan. We are seeing some blessings with our branch and we hope to have a lot more people to attend church next week.
