Dear family and friends!
I feel that each week has been going by faster and
faster....
I can't believe that I have been with my companion now for 5
weeks! That seems like forever ago that I came to this area.
Well the best news from this last week is that we are going
to have a baptism this week! His name is Manuel. He is about 30 years old and
he has attended church now like 7 or 8 times. He is an awesome person and we
have really seen a change in him! He is excited to go to church and to read the
Book of Mormon but the only fear that we have is that he feels ready but he
doesn't want to fall away after his baptism but we will be with him in every
step to help him stay here. I have faith that he will be baptized but we will
see after his interview! It will be Wednesday and hopefully he will be ready! I
know he will be! So this week other than that has been a little bit tough with
our visits, they have fallen but we also have been finding people that are
really wanting to learn more!
The scripture that really impacted me this week was in
Mosiah 3:19. After it talks that we need to leave the natural man behind us, it
tells us how we can become saints and how we can become like Christ.
...becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the
Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love,
willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict uponhim,
even as a child doth submit to his father.
We need to be a saint and repent and become better. We need
to become like children.
