Hey family and friends,
Well this week was hard as in terms of working but the great
thing is that we had general conference and we were spiritually filled and even
at some points I felt like it was overflowing and I couldn't capture all of the
things I wanted to.
This week something sad happened in our zone as we were
playing soccer last Monday. So the story is that one missionary fell and landed
on his sholder (I forgot how it is spelled) but it hurt a lot so he went and
got it checked out at the hospital and the doctors said that he didn't break
any bones but he tore a ligament or tendon in his sholder. This elder is named
Elder Nelson and I want to do a shoutout to him! because he's a stud! I hope
you get feeling better Elder Nelson and have a safe ride home in the airplane
today! We all love you and hope that you can recover fast to come back out on
the mission!
Other news is that we got to see general conference this
last weekend and it was amazing! I can't believe that it was my last general
conference before I will be home! It's really scary to think about that but
there's nothing that I can do about it!
But the things that I like in the general conference was the
statements from:
Elder D Todd Christofferson when he said, "The key for
men is to be fathers, the key for children is to have fathers, and the key for
society is to create fathers."
Elder Gerrit W. Gong, "To be worthy does not mean to be
perfect"
and especially how Dieter F. Uchtdorf talked about the scars
on the lutheran church building that is in Germany, and that he told us that we
can have scars, and that we can have those scars to remember what we have been
through and to remind us what we can overcome.
Thanks for everything! I love you guys so much!
Elder Flygare
